Dan here,
I am here to appologise for the delay on the course description. The course is alive and moving on me. I am in the process of approving the course that Elisa( the race Director) has set. Some section have to be change etc to meet the Ultimate Xc criteria and standard.
we are getting there but we are not done yet.
All I can tell you for now is that some sections are VERY technical with roots, rocks and amazing trail design. My job is to make sure that you will remember the course for ever. MAYBE a river crossing and very little mud. HOWEVER your quad and TOES will pay the price
As soon as I can actually report of the course I will
Thanks for your patience

Hey Dave,
Your friend are smart to be terrified. The 10Km has been ran and tested by Elite runners. The winning time will be between 1.15 to 1.30, so most will take over 2 hours to do and some will take up to 3 hours to complete.YES I am talking about the 10KM... well it might be more like a 12.5 km or so
The web site mentionned that this is not an ordinary Trail run and all our event are design to offer the best offroad experience but also to push to the limit . The Quebec Edition is not an exception to that rule.
Y Laurin,
Mc We are still measuring and testing the distance between each station, it is so far not complete. I can tell you that the Top 5 runners will Hit the first station withing 20 minutes and the second one within 50 minutes. Soooo... the average runner will get to the first Aid station within 35 to 40 minutes and the second one within 90 minutes. I am trying to make sure you have something every 30 to 45 minutes but being a cross Country it is often impossible to plan. I therefore recommend to ALL first timer to carry gel and Water with them.
I am in the middle of finalising my last newsletter that will be posted by Wednesday night ot Thursday that will have all details to make your run as enjoyable as it can be.
Dan

En réponse à Mr Pichette . .

Anybody out there has the gps course for the 10km without "my detour" (seems I got lost!)

Here is a link to the my elevation chart from my GPS. I corrected the GPS elevation data using SRTM elevation data. The software that I use to analyse GPS activities is: http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks/Elevation map: http://www.proconsult.ca/PCT-E/images/Running/ultimate-xc-half-marathon-elavation-chart.JPGGPS file (can be opened with Google Earth): http://www.proconsult.ca/PCT-E/images/Running/ultimate-xc-half-marathon.gpxGreat race Dan!
